Jürgen Butsmann
Jürgen Butsmann is part of the global business development team for SAP S/4HANA at SAP SE. In this organization, he is responsible for all analytical topics and for the portfolio of business processes enabled by intelligence technologies as a member of the solution management portfolio and go-to-market group. He ensures that all new innovations are picked up by all market units in SAP EMEA. In this role, he also acts as a solution evangelist for SAP customers and partners. In conjunction with the development organization, he works on the future strategy and roadmap of SAP S/4HANA. This includes the positioning and messaging of the solutions. In particular, Jürgen heads the go-to-market of the analytics solutions inside SAP S/4HANA (SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics) and the positioning with related solutions (e.g., the SAP Analytics suite and enterprise data warehousing, including SAP HANA and SAP BW/4HANA).
Jürgen joined SAP in 1997 as a consultant for SAP EC-EIS, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Strategic Enterprise Management, and SAP Enterprise Performance Management (SAP EPM). In 2012, he took over solution ownership of SAP HANA Live and the SAP Smart Business cockpit as part of solution management of the SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA. He joined the business development team for SAP S/4HANA in 2016. He is based out of the SAP Headquarters in Walldorf, Germany.
Jürgen studied industrial engineering and management (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and earned the Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur degree.
